COME EXPERIENCE OUR COPPELL, TEXAS SENSORY
DEPRIVATION FLOAT THERAPY
People across the nation are discovering the value of float therapy and alternative health services. You can try this natural alternative for yourself at American Shaman of Coppell. We’re a trusted Wellness Center in the Coppell, Texas area, offering sensory deprivation float therapy, as well as additional health products and services. In addition to float therapy, our wellness center offers services including Wellness Programs and Massage Therapy. Flotation therapy (aka sensory deprivation) offers relief and benefits which are cumulative—they build on themselves with each subsequent session. We often to say “the more you float, the better it gets”, as floats themselves deepen beyond the first session. Though flotation is an “effortless” therapy, the body and mind actually learn how to relax into the float with each session. Stress, tension and pain have formed over time and will take some time to experience the greatest relief—luckily, floating is a relaxing, fun, and effortless way to do so!
What is Floatation Therapy?
When your body isn’t fighting gravity or constantly taking in information, your body suddenly has a lot of extra resources at its disposal. Your mind is free to contemplate without distraction. Your brain releases dopamine and endorphins while your body gets to reset, de-stress and heal. Some customers say it is the most relaxing thing they have ever experienced!
Our flotation suite is equipped with individual sound so you can connect your phone, iPod, or use our audio selection. The sound and lights can be turned on our off based on your comfort level. Our suite is equipped with a private shower, towels, robes, and bath and beauty supplies for after your float.
The float cabin uses water and 1100 pounds of magnesium sulfate (Epsom salt). The high salt concentration allows you to float effortlessly on top of the water. In addition, the magnesium sulfate acts as a muscle relaxer, anti-inflammatory and detoxification agent. The water is set to 94.5 degrees which is thermo-receptor neutral, which means you loose track of where your body ends, and the water begins. While you have the option to use light and sound, optimal results are achieved without either. This is known as Restricted Environmental Stimulation Therapy (R.E.S.T.)
